I'm more flattered when I get complimented on an outfit by another woman then if I get the same compliment from a man.
Posted by beth at July 18, 2003 01:39 PMSister, if I threw on a wig and a skirt and slathered my ample lips with Revlon Dusty Rose, would that help me rise above the teeming throng of neanderthals who grunt and whistle as a signal approval? If the answer is no, wel, that's what I figured it would be. If the answer is yes, well, I'd have to find one damn fine skirt and consult personally with the ghost of Eva Gabor. But it could be worth it.
Posted by: Mr. Amaya at July 18, 2003 04:35 PMWell, Mr. Amaya, you fall into a different category all together. And while I'd pay big money to see you in drag, I am more than flattered any time you pay me event the slightest compliment. Thank you.
Posted by: beth at July 18, 2003 08:27 PMFlattery from women works for you, huh? Do I sense some hot girl-on-girl action in my future? (With GIRLS, not Steves-in-a-skirt!)
Posted by: Chuck at July 19, 2003 12:53 AMYou don't seem to respond well when a gay man compliments you either. I remember a time a few years back when I complimented you on a pair of shoes (they were "the" shoes mentioned in one of your journal entries), and you looked at me like I was out of my mind. Of course, maybe you didn't realize I was gay at the time (although the shoe compliment should have been a dead giveaway).
Next time I see you in an outfit I like, I'll have a woman go compliment you on it.
Posted by: Gavin at July 19, 2003 12:14 PMNo Gavin honey, a gay man may as well be a girlfriend. Perhaps you just caught me on a bad day. I have been known to ride the "bitch train" upon occassion.
If I've thwarted you my apologies. Please feel free to compliment me any time you feel the need.
xxb
oh, and Chuck, honey, not fucking likely
