I know the link works because I just tested it.
You just click on the little Love Ride 21 icon and it'll take you to my Love Ride donation page, where you too can be one of the Kool Kids sponsoring me in the Love Ride on November 14. I have $136 now and I'm shooting for $500. Just kick in $20, $10, even $5 and I'll put your name in the honor roll and you'll get to help some charities that need your support.
Clickety-click.
Posted by Chuck at November 4, 2004 11:19 AMSo if I give on 11/12 it's still all good, right? That's when I'll next have a little extra cash.
Posted by: Carol at November 4, 2004 11:52 AMJust for you, Carol. Everyone else: Right Now! Seriously, though, whenever and whatever.
And I don't want any of my regulars to feel like they have to contribute for me to still "like" them. If you give, great, and if you don't give, also great. You're all Kool Kids just for reading me! Anything over and above the $55 I paid to ride is gravy.
Posted by: Chuck at November 4, 2004 12:29 PMLongtime fan here, going back to the Mojave Phone Booth days. Donated tonight. Have a super ride.
Oh...by the way...did that Sherilyn Finn encounter at the school happen?
Posted by: GraceD at November 4, 2004 08:09 PMThanks, Grace, you rock! Yes, Sherlilyn and my destinies did finally collide, on my birthday in fact. I talk about it in this entry (http://www.deadpan.net/pie/archives/000735.html), in the part about Zoe's Halloween parade. ::Swoon::
Posted by: Chuck at November 4, 2004 08:40 PMAhhh! Missed that post. Oooo-la-la and happy birthday! Your Beth is a very secure woman in re: Twin Peaks babe. I, on the other hand, would have kicked your ass.
Kidding. Kinda.
Peace in the hood,
Grace
My donation will be forthcoming ... next Friday.
Whether or not next Friday coincides with my payday, I will leave to your imagination. :D

If the html doesn't work, here's the link

Don't even get me started, Leslie. ;) Beth is standing in as my attack dog on this one and has that very picture posted in her blog now.
Jim: Thanks in advance, and I'll no doubt thank you again afterward.
Grace: Beth can afford to be sanguine about it. She knows I have no shot, no shot at all.
Posted by: Chuck at November 4, 2004 11:51 PMFor you and Beth. The Daily Mirror has posted the cover for download because they had so many queries about it. I'm taking it to a printer and having it framed.

There's also a pretty good editorial here

By the way, how do you post html in your comment box? Haloscan doesn't offer that option and I can't get code to work.
Posted by: Lesley at November 5, 2004 09:31 AMI wrote it as a plain web address and the system made it clickable.
