 Operation Yellow Elephant

Uncle Sam needs YOU, young Republicans!

Piss and moan

Don, Tim, other right-wing Lunchroom readers, surely you’ve talked to your kids about enlisting to support the “war” effort, haven’t you? This “war” is “both just and necessary,” after all.

Heh heh …. heh heh …. …. hehehehe

  2. Tim says:

My son can enlist if he so desires as he is past the age of majority. I might also add that he has his own opinions and makes his own decisions about the direction of his life. If he were a “kid” and at home, he wouldn’t be able to enlist now would he?

Anyway, I hear this refrain from the anti-war types a lot lately. Your not-so-subtle reference to cowardice is just the latest tactic. Our patriotism is questioned and we are often asked why WE don’t enlist! Well, at this point in my life they won’t take me!

So, does this mean I can only be patriotic if I serve in the military or convince my son that he should enlist? If the answer is yes, my answer is that your elephant icon ought to show the brown stuff coming out the other end!!!

I echo Tim’s sentiments. I have 2 daughters old enough to enlist. Both are welcome to and I would support them if they did.

Did you notice Durbin apologized for his remarks? He didn’t actually come out and say he wished he hadn’t said them, just that he was sorry to anyone who felt his marks crossed the line. Here’s another line in his apology. “I made reference to Nazis, to Soviets, and other repressive regimes. Mr. President, I’ve come to understand that’s a very poor choice of words.”

And that’s as far as it will go, unlike Trent Lott’s crucifiction. Dems can get away with saying anything and there are no repercusions.

I think this is funny. I’d like to see them at the College Republicans conference. And that recruiting poster was a hoot. And on a more serious note, here’s another example of how the Republicans ‘support the troops‘.
