Offering advice on affairs of the heart from days gone by, Calling Dr. Love was a recurring column that appeared in the Pasadena Weekly in conjunction with the personal ads over a three month period in 1992. Written by a man whose friends compared his giving dating advice to an alcoholic giving driving lessons, the column was short-lived.

Its untimely demise probably wasn't really all that untimely.
